My name is Bobby Beck. I love my wife and daughter very much and being a father is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.

A few times per year I take a solo trip somewhere in the world to ground myself and live the simplest life possible, out of my backpack. This helps fulfill two deep values of mine, adventure and freedom. These solo trips also help to recharge my batteries, helping me to be the best partner and father I can.

 

What I’ve come to learn is that no matter where I am at, I’m always there. The grass is not greener anywhere else. It is truly greenest where I am and traveling the globe is not an escape to search for something, but rather a chance to embrace my values while also remembering that life is happening right now, in this moment. This blog serves as a taste of adventure and a place for me to put my thoughts and memories of these special adventures. I hope you enjoy my trekking journeys.
